Political Parties


India hosts a multi-party framework with acknowledgment agreed to national and state and District level parties. The status is looked into occasionally by the Election Commission of India. And Other political parties that desire to challenge nearby, state or national decisions are required to be enrolled by the Election Commission of India (ECI). National

A registered party is recognized as a National Party only if the party wins 2% of seats in the Lok Sabha from at least 3 different States.

If at a General Election to Lok Sabha or Legislative Assembly, the party polls 6% of votes in four States and in addition it wins 4 Lok Sabha seats.

State

A party should win least three percent of the aggregate number of seats or at least three seats in the Legislative Assembly to be considered as a state party. A party should win no less than one seat in the Lok Sabha for every 25 seats or any portion thereof allocated to that State.
